It's normal for children to feel worried or anxious from time to time. However, for some children, anxiety affects their everyday life. This worrying and anxiety can influence their behaviour and thoughts, interfering with their school, home and social life.
Signs your child is anxious are:
My four-week course is specially designed for children from 8 years up who are struggling with worries and anxiety.
Together with your child we will work through focussed workbooks, practical exercises and activities to give your child tools and techniques to manage their anxieties going forward.
I have over twenty years of working with Children from Playschemes, to Children Holiday Rep and most recently teaching children Aerial Hoop. I am DBS certified.
Being a mum to three children comes with many trials and tribulations. Anxiety in my daughters was something that was affecting them (and the whole family) more and more. I would say it was always present but after the pandemic, it was certainly heightened. My middle child was showing real signs of anxiety, constantly having a tummy ache, not leaving my side when we went anywhere, not wanting to leave the house and many other things that were influencing all our lives.
After years of GP appointments, then onto different departments we finally got to see someone. The sessions we had were things I believe should be taught in schools. Anxiety will always be present so we have to find ways to not eliminate it but to manage it.
Since then I have designed this course, (with the help of my daughter!) that I truly believe will help children live a happy life in the increasingly difficult world we live in. This course can be undertaken online or face-to-face and includes workbooks and practical activities.
